WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITHOUT MUSIC?
WHERE WOULD YOU BE WITHOUT A SONG?
This EP contains the "What Would You Do" track and it's remixes, which utilize sample material from and are intended as a tribute to D-Train. Also included is the smash-out good-time Summer Jam "It's On Out Here feat. BEEZ" which as you can see feature the vocal talents and stylings ov one ov my favorite rappers and people, which also brings to light my ability to bring a total party jam out ov ANYONE (see also: CYNE). Turn this one up loud and let the bass CRANK, soak up the mellow vibes, roll one, smoke it, etc.
As far as the remixes are concerned, we are in luck, because LZRKMMNDR turns in a soulful dubstep-laced version, with the vocal sample being vocoded-out and extrapolated with various tweekage, whilst obese analog bass whomp drives the melody home. Then we have RAD RICK's stomping, whomping trance-a-delic mix to lull you repeatedly into a daze, then BASHING you over the head with the beat yet again. Then, in a totally random and awesome change-ov-pace maneuver, we enlist the Drum-N-Bass talents ov rising-star producer FLACO, who turns in a romping and rolling old-school-done-new-school affair as he is known to do. The end result sounds like if Full Cycle and V Records had been started last week, and this was the first release, yet within the framework ov the tune at hand.
BONUS TRACKS in the form ov a completely reversed version ov "What Would You Do", a track so lovely it's just as good backwards, and also a "D-Train Bonus Beats" chop-house delivery where our man D-Train scats to the beat, futuristic-style.
SOLID RELEASE. GET THIS IN YOUR EARS AND MINDS.
